Jan can be arrogant (sorry darlin, it's true) but I really don't think that that was the over all issue. It's a couple people power tripping. They couldn't control Jan, so they eliminated her. This was the intention going in and she got angry and gave them the excuse to do it.
As for a new con, it's already in the works and year 0 is in a month. musecon.org. We'll see what happens with it.
