They started selling it here in regular grocery stores and then they STOPPED, dammit, and I never check bags anymore so cannot hand-import it because stupid TSA would think it was a bomb or something and AUGH.

The import shop sells it for something like six bucks a jar. No.

I have grown to love mayo over the years, but I still crave the "tangy zip" of Miracle Whip. One of those childhood loves that won't go away. Yum. :-) White bread and meatloaf sammiches with Miracle Whip and a slice of cheese!

Every culture has some foodstuff that nobody else can stand. Miracle Whip stands tall alongside gefilte fish, haggis and menudo in this respect.

You should get someone to send you an emergency Miracle Whip Care Package! I think they put it in plastic jars sometimes now, which should be a bit safer/lighter to ship.

Someone did once send me a care package consisting in its entirety of a) a plastic bottle of MW and b) a Tori Amos double CD. I'd never really heard any Tori Amos, and I liked the CD, so it was all good.

And Vegenaise is superior to Mayo in every way. It was an omnivorous friend of mine who introduced me to Vegenaise, it's that good. Made of grapeseed oil, it is.

Miracle Whip actually belongs in the Spam, Cheez Whiz, Cool Whip pantheon moreso than the haggis and menudo pantheon.

I'm taking a larger view. Or maybe from a different angle. Certainly it belongs to the same culture as the Spam, etc. but on another axis, it is a revolting "foodstuff" that is a tough sell outside its native land.

There are exceptions everywhere of course, or no markets in the USA would market stuff like durian, would they? I guess people get homesick for the darndest stuff.

For me it was Miracle Whip until I figured out they put freaking CORN SYRUP in it. WTH!? I am trying to get AWAY from corn syrup...well aside from my new/renewed addiction to Classic Coke. And Cherry Coke. Anyway. ARGH.
