After living out of NY for nearly 25 years, and moving to a relatively less-than-suburban portion of SE NC, imagine my utter shock when of all things, a Sabrett hot dog stand goes up on the corner of my street and the US highway that runs thru town, in the parking lot of the country store/old gas station!!!!! NY Sabrett heaven, mere hundreds of feet from my house!! That blue & yellow umbrella is a beacon.........Life is good.

In a very roundabout way, since I would never use it on a hot dog, frankfurter, or weiner, this also leads to the question: Catsup or ketchup?

I had a couple of similar experiences. I moved to Ames IA from Chicago. I bemoaned that I would never get a good gyros again. I was walking through the freakin MALL ... and look over and there is a giant gyro spit ... yeah, a greek steakhouse in the mall in Ames IA ...

A place in Des Moines opened and called itself Chicago Dog. I had my doubts. I went in and asked if they had celery salt. The guy chuckled and said let me just set this one up for you. I got an absolutely perfect Chicago style dog, with all the trimmings.

They get a lot of my business.

I have to join the 'neither' category with hotdog. I discovered a Chicago dog down here (Fort Worth area) means you can get a pickle spear and fresh tomato. Doubt they ever heard of celery salt (but now I'm supposed to be low sodium, so it doesn't matter).
