I went off to the open mike last night. It was a real informal affair last night, I was sitting in the back of the room warming up, and suddenly I was playing songs for everyone.

There was at least one person who really didn't like my stuff, he just sat there and glared at me the entire time, which prompted me to be even more ... well ... me

It was a nice night.

I have not heard, nor used, that expression in a really long time; probably since I exited the Marines where earthy expressions are the norm. Funny how things like that get jammed up in your memory.

My stuff deals with sarcasm, satire and irony. The kids these days just don't do those things.
