Here are the rules.

Answer only one quote.

If you answer more than one I will delete your reply. If there are quotes still not answered the next day I will open it up to any and all guesses.

Most weeks there is a theme. If there is not a theme I will tell you. The theme is open to guess even if you have guessed a quote.

There is not a theme this week, and you can thank [livejournal.com profile] bdunbar for that

Don't use a search engine (like this can be enforced). If you don't know, you don't know. Maybe next week you will.

You must either be signed into LJ, or say who you are (in case you are a friend of mine who is not on LJ). All anonymous answers will be deleted (hey, I'm obsessive, I want to know who guesses these). Oh, and don't guess as a reply to someone else's guess, on a busy day that makes it hard for me to spot your answer.

08 - Out on that drill field yesterday, you people were miserable. You people ain't even a mob. A mob's got a leader. You people are a herd. I'm gonna get me a sheep dog! [livejournal.com profile] tcgtrf informs us that this is from The D.I.
09 - Look, any longer out on that road and I'm one of them, a terminal psychotic, except that I've got this bronze badge that says that I'm one of the good guys. [livejournal.com profile] selenesue informs us that this is from Mad Max

I both love and hate these.

I've never gotten one, but I always read through and say to at least one - "That's from that one movie... what the hell was it? Dammit! What was it?" and then I have to look it up.

It's fun is a self-abuse sort of way. :)

Oh, that's a classic. Sgt. Friday plays a Parris Island Drill Instructor who, when one of his recruits kills a sand flea, has the entire squad search for the dead sand flea in order to give it a proper burial.

After four or five hours of digging, one of the troopers finds the flea. He holds it out to the DI, who examines it closely.

"What sex was the sand flea you killed, recruit?"

"Uh...a male...sergeant?"

"The sand flea you are holding is a female, recruit, keep digging!"

I know. I was just having fun. Sorry. All these movies have just a little something depressing and to do with death in them.

I hate it when I recognize a quote (#7 in this case), but can not remember where it is from! Argh!! I may have to Google just to satisfy my curiosity, but only after I give it some more thought.

It's a great old movie.

My senior drill instructor - a man with a terrific sense of humor - showed it to us the first night recruit training started.

Hey, I resemble that!

I enjoy a comedy or pollyanna flick as much as the next guy. But ask me to name films I'd take with me to a desert island and ... well you get a list like this.

Actually a list of films I'd really take to a desert island would include

"Boat building for beginners"

"Don't eat that berry!"

"Goats - what happens on the island stays on the island"

Now that I see the answer, it was not from the movie I was thinking off. So I saved myself from a bad guess.
