I finally got around to watching it this weekend.

I quite liked it ... how about you?

it's much better with age...

i watched the first two parts and wasn't impressed enough to watch the third, and then S&P and i watched it on my birthday, and it was a lot better.

perhaps it's the distance from the original air date that improves it?

i particularly enjoyed that they included in-jokes for fans of both the MGM movie, and the books, as well as a lot of nifty other stuff.

Spoiler alert?

I liked it. I thought it was entertaining, I watched it all at once with commercial interupptions, and thought it was really neat.

I have had many conversations with others that have watched it about the boob monkeys though, When that happened I about died laughing. My mom called them "Boobats". Then there were all of the speculation about how much boobats would hurt, and whether you would fumigate for them or if it would be a doctor thing - yes, I am nuts, thanks for asking.

We enjoyed it here. We were skeptical after the first part... but being that it was a mini-series and only required another 3 hour investment we went for it, and quite enjoyed it.

It felt... unfinished to me. Like they were working with an early draft of the script, and maybe were still even in rehearsal. I can't really explain it better than that- only that I do usually expect better writing and better acting from the Sci-Fi channel. But overall, I have to say I enjoyed it. I was intrigued by the way the "re-imagined" it, and thought the way they worked through the mysteries- not giving away all the secrets at once- worked quite well.

Skepticism kept me from enjoying the first hour then I was able to suspend belief and enjoyed it very much.

I liked it; could have been worse, could have been better, and I actually want to see what else happens with the characters now that the first adventure is over.

She seemed stilted and uncertain/uncomfortable...but after having done Hitchhiker one would think she's accustomed to oddball scripts.
