NYE

I suppose I should talk a little more about New Years Eve.

Much against my will, I was forced to go to Kansas to attend some awful thing at a simply huge arcade in Kansas City. I was forced by starstraf and bammba_m. Totally against my will ... really. I mean really, who wants to spend NYE with babes?

So I drove the 4 hours there. Hung out, dealt with Star's vicious, ravening animals (you gotta watch out for teddybeardog, what a ferocious beast), took a nap and then was forced ... forced I say, to go have FUN! Oh man ... I hate it when that happens.

I have to admit though, I spent much of the evening geeking out, I mean really geeking out, on Donkey Kong. It was my favorite game a couple 100 years ago, and I am very proud that I walked away with all 5 high scores, most of them actually pretty respectable (I couldn't get past the 3rd elevators though, so 86,000 was my top score).

I had a very nice time. Thanks for giving me a place to get away to.

Donkey Kong is fun. Steve likes watching me play it, and makes a point of identifying all the broken ladders whenever the 25M level pops up.
