Wow - the files were compressed via RAR. Not a big deal it's just not what I'm used to.

Of course I deal with vendors who feel that way about gzip so maybe a bit of pot / kettle thing there.

Zip, on both my work Mac and my home MS box had no problems with them even if they were RAR.
