Ok, I'll give a hint this week. It is a pretty bad hint though ...

I intend to stock up on this week's theme at Duckon this weekend.

And here are the rules.

Answer only one quote.

If you answer more than one I will delete your reply. If there are quotes still not answered the next day I will open it up to any and all guesses.

Most weeks there is a theme. If there is not a theme I will tell you. The theme is open to guess even if you have guessed a quote.

Don't use a search engine (like this can be enforced). If you don't know, you don't know. Maybe next week you will.

And a new rule. You must either be signed into LJ, or say who you are (in case you are a friend of mine who is not on LJ). All anonymous answers will be deleted (hey, I'm obsessive, I want to know who guesses these)

[livejournal.com profile] wyngarde jumps to it again, It's Hammer Horror Films

01 Let's let our friend here rest in peace... while he can. And he strikes again. [livejournal.com profile] wyngarde comes up with The Curse Of Frankenstein
02 I must apologize for not being here to greet you personally, but I trust you've found everything you needed. [livejournal.com profile] bammba_m says Dracula (aka Horror Of Dracula in the US so we don't get confused with the one almost 30 years before), and ya know, she's right
03 I've seen the likes tonight that mortal eyes shouldn't look at. [livejournal.com profile] selenesue says The Mummy, and ya know, she's right
04 There'll be no morning for us. [livejournal.com profile] mike46 says Dracula: Prince OF Darkness, and ya know, he's right
05 The truth? What do you want with that? If you want to be a success in life forget the truth. [livejournal.com profile] mike46 says Dracula Has Risen From The Grave), and ya know, he's right
06 I am going to give you a new voice! A voice so wonderful that theatres all over the world will be filled with your admirers. [livejournal.com profile] exapno says Phantom Of The Opera, and ya know, she's right
07 I am she who must be obeyed! And the robot gets a jump on everyone else again. [livejournal.com profile] wyngarde comes up with She, the Hammer version.
08 Suppose at that time there were living beings on it with techniques that let them visit the Earth at a time when the most highly evolved creatures here, our own ancestors, were only a type of Pliocene ape. [livejournal.com profile] mike46 says Quatermass And The Pit (aka Five Million Years to Earth here in the USA, since we didn't know who Quatermass was), and ya know, he's right
09 But the trouble with these scientific types is they can't see the easy way out of anything. It's got to be complicated if it's going to work. [livejournal.com profile] shsilver says X: The Unknown, and ya know, he's right
10 You would play your brains against mine. Against me who has commanded nations? [livejournal.com profile] pheltzer says Dracula A.D.1972, and ya know, he's right

7. 'SHE' I used to say that in my teens when another friend's girlfriend had him whipped. ;) Guess at the theme: "If I had a HAMMER?"

#8 is from Quatermass and the Pit. Not my favorite Quatermass, but acceptable.

I prefer either the first or the second film ... nice little b/w sci/fi monster type films like I like. I'm not sure either one is on DVD at the moment, even on region 2. I have them on VHS. Amazon shows them used for upwards of $150 for the DVD versions.

So if it's a 'Dracula' movie, and a Hammer film to boot ..... hmmmmm. Could it be Dracula: Prince of Darkness?
