that having no one show up to a show would be a just a little disconcerting.

Andy and I played for 2 solid hours. If you only like my funny stuff, it would have been a weird time for you since we played a lot of serious songs ... but ... mostly we played songs that gave us a chance to open up and play ... to really play.

I don't consider myself a musician ... Steve Goodman once introduced Jethro Burns with a great explanation. "There are songwriters and bangers ... and there are real musicians". I am definitely a songwriter and a banger ... Last night Andy made me feel like a real musician. We played off each other, usually I control where the songs go, last night one of us took control when it was right, and the other followed.

I'll post a set list later, but I do want to say that Hides was this amazing slow gypsy blues last night ...

It was a completely magical night ...
