I am a judge for the Billy Joes Pitcher Show's karoake contest.

It's gonna be scary.

updateI have been told to be there at 7pm, but the website says that the contest starts around 9. I'm checking on this later today.

update to the update The contest starts sometime after 9, which is when I am supposed to be there ... so ... it's late ... it's a bar ... whoopie !!!

That was the dinner theater ... I cant think of the name either. I've tried to blank it from my memory ... it was a truly awful place

I in Wisconsin for Congenial, a nice little relaxicon in Racine, then I have a little business to take care of in Chicago monday morning, then back to Iowa monday afternoon

:) Depending on what the man in charge says, we've kicked around the idea of me sitting in with them for one or two numbers during their DemiCon gigs.

Jeanne's been attempting to teach me Celtic/Irish music for the alto flute for several years now. I periodically sit in on rehearsals but this is a little more serious...there are at least two or three numbers that I could play with them right now but we'll see how it goes.

I love my alto flute and I love that I'm still USING it after all these years!

Indeed...standard C flute since I was about 8, and alto flute since I was about 15. I can still play the C flute, but I prefer the alto. :) I perform semi-regularly either alone or with a flute choir at my church. I had a Vivaldi aria worked up for church and the last blizzard canceled our church services so I have to get that rescheduled.
