I want to watch it again, but I do have to say, from my initial reaction, that Daniel Craig is the 2nd best Bond ... and this may be a better movie than the last couple of the best Bond.

The movie falters a little toward the end ... but only a little.

It also has the best chase scene ever filmed ... really ...

It's good getting some positive reviews of it. Every time there's a new Bond, I tend to wait until my friends tell me whether it's worth seeing or not. Then again, I do that with comic book and sci-fi films, too.

When you say "best Bond", I assume you mean Roger Moore.

Because it's a good one to make! ;) Roger Moore was Ian Fleming's first choice. He was not crazy about Sean Connerey. That's today's fun fact.

I agree. Craig is a good Bond. BUT I have to wait and see when an 'Official' Bond movie hits with him, as this was a 'begins' story. He's great at doing non-Bond things, but I LOVED his delivery of the last line of the film. I look forward to more of him.

While I like Judi Dench, I'd really like a new 'M'.

Definatley the most pyhsical Bond, and I liked that a lot. That chase in the beginning was long, but worth every moment.

What did you think of the 'gun barrel' moment?

A 30 year old Roger Moore was his first choice ... not a nearly 50 year old Roger Moore. There is a big difference there.

If you mean the first sequence ... I thought it was a great way to put him in the part ...

And he had those moments all through the film, but they were subtle. He's just going to get better, and is already great IMNSHO

Although to be fair, Sean Bond got better scripts than Roger Bond for the most part. Still, there was something not quite butch enough about Roger Bond.

I think that Roger Moore as an actor in the late 50s and early 60s would have been great, but a pudgy middle aged Bond ... never

Oh, the movie's already on the list. Tomorrow, though, I'll go to see The Illusionist while it's cheap (but before it leaves town).
