I'm surprised you didn't know that. He was behind CW McCall (or whatever), which started as an ad campaign. He then went on to create spacy Christmas music for New Age truckers.

I have not known this fact for a whole lot longer than you have, but I'm feeling quite smug about the fact that I did know something about music that you didn't, even for a short period of time. I have known this since not too long after the Mannheim Steamroller album with the "Convoy" remake came out.
