I'm about a year late but finally ...

Everyone I know has been ranting about Firefly. I never watched it when it was on. cryndalae bought the series a couple of weeks ago (I bought it too at the same time, but returned mine, but that's another story)

I watched the first episode (the pilot, not the first aired) last night.

I'm hooked ... I expect to see the entire thing before the week's out, including the movie.

I was very sick of hearing about it and tried to watch an episode in the middle without watching it from the start; that didn't work so well. Then when I watched from the beginning I was totally hooked. Haven't seen Serenity yet but do plan to.

Welcome to the 'verse. :) Now imagine trying to get into the series while Fox was showing the episodes out of order. They started with the train job which makes almost no sense without the preceeding episodes.

After seeing one episode on tv, I decided to buy the DVD set. I watched all the episoded in a week and then the movie when it appeared. I am glad that I have friends who can discover cool things to watch and let me know about them.

One of my best friends from high school bought us the DVD set as a "Happy Welcome To The World Bundle" gift. He's also the one who showed me Serenity, when I was home visiting my Mom... I'm very hooked, in fact I need to watch the series again. And we need to buy Serenity. Quick. ;-)

Greg, the guy that hooked me, is the guy I've mentioned that you remind me so much of. You need to meet. Or not. Perhaps the 'verse would implode if that ever happened...

Shoe and I got the set a week or so ago, and I ate them up. I had not seen them before this except in pieces at cons. It is totally awesome. Oh, and I also watched the movie. I finished the whole damn thing in like 4 days (and I do not watch a lot of T.V. at all, usually less than an hour a day).
