I've forwarded a dozen or so of these messages to spoof@ebay.com---and apparently every one of them was a phishing attempt.

I'd love to get my hands on the jassacks who do this sort of thing. Just five hot minutes, with my fingers around their throats, that's all I'm asking.

Nothing apparent about it. Ebay and/or Paypal do not send out emails like this, in any way ...

which is why I was joking about it ... cause it's silly ...

I get this about 3 times a week. I'm used to it now.

I get a dozen or more every week. I collect the better versions at bankscamspam.

It used to be just for Nigerian Bank Scams, but I've added to others to it lately.

Lately it's just been headers, since the body of the emails tend to be cut and paste of the same few templates.

i get them in all languages, which is all right because 6.7 million dollars is glaringly obvious in languages of which i have no rudimentary knowledge. :)

Maybe we should start a support group for violated eBay accounts.

I always forward these to PayPal or eBay. They always thank me, but never offer monetary rewards. Doesn't seem fair.

I got an actual email from Paypal advertising some service (the credit card I think), so for fun I forwarded it to their spoof address. They thanked me too ... go figger

I envision the paypal server as one big maximum security prison, with all of our weak little accounts being violated by unauthorized users every day.

I've told mine to start fights in the cafeteria to get put into solitary.
