I saw him on Letterman a couple of years ago. He had the same sort of odd world view as Steven Wright, but with this sort of 70s stoner guy attitude. Very original and very funny. His most recent CD also has a live DVD with a Comedy Central show in both the aired and uncut versions. He's not for everyone, but I loved his work.
I saw him open for Dennis Miller at the State Theater in Minneapolis a number of years ago, and as far I'm concerned, he stole the show. I enjoyed these Mitch quotes yesterday after hearing of his death and could not help but hear his voice in my head.
