Our year so far.
Mar. 2nd, 2020 09:40 amTwo days after Xmas I was having problems breathing. End result, 5 days in the hospital. The bills still haven’t hit, so we have no idea what it is going to cost.
I get out of the hospital, miss another week of work recovering, get back to work. I’m going to be home on a Wednesday. Lizzie goes out to get the van and go to work. I hear her screaming. She broke her leg. The bills still haven’t hit, so we have no idea what it is going to cost.
We, probably rather foolishly, still go to Conflikt. It’s wonderful, but I come back and collapse for 4 days. High fever and exhaustion. I miss more work.
I recover, so we decide, once again probably rather foolishly, to go ahead and go to Boskone. I collapse utterly on Sunday of the con. We travel ok on Monday, but I spend the rest of the week asleep on the couch or in bed. Yeah, I sleep about 18 hours a day. So I miss more work.
I get back to work, last week was the first full week of work I have been to all year. Friday, Calibri gets 7 bad teeth pulled. Poor old grumpy guy. We know what the bill is for that.
Today … the check engine light comes on in the van.
We can’t take much more of this.
