The last few days
Dec. 25th, 2012 08:47 pmTime to write a little bit.
The party was sparsely attended, but that was down to the weather. I did have all of my kids around me, always a good thing. All of them got involved in the music. Both boys played guitar for us and WSPA-3 got into some of the drums and even sang along with a few songs. I can never begin to say how proud I am of my children.
Their Aunt is in town so they headed over to Grandma's the next day. Lizzie and I puttered around the house a bit but didn't do much Saturday.
The majority of the day Sunday was taken up with going to The Hobbit, it's a long movie after all. We had none of the reservations that others had with it (length, additional material etc). I'm amazed that the almost 3 hours went past so quickly. A bit of the CGI was a little sketchy, but that is the only complaint I have.
Monday we both had to go into work. It was a dull day for both of us, and here is when the only bad part of the weekend happened ... now for a brief rant.
I have been the UPS connection for my office for some time. I am the one who fixes problems, tracks packages etc. I have never seen them screw up like they did Monday. I won't go into details here but man, they did everything wrong.
We got up late this morning. Lizzie made a magnificent breakfast scramble. We cuddled up on the couch and watched Miracle On 34th Street. Later we went to May House for their usual marvelous food, Kung Pao Chicken both of us.
Now we are waiting for clean sheets and then it is off to bed for us. Monse flies in tomorrow and we have 5 days with her. It's going to be marvelous.
