So, what happens when plans change.

Originally, because we were going to be at OVFF this weekend, kids were going to be over tonight, but that changed.

We decided to spend the evening on the couch watching a movie, and the phone rang.

It was Isaac, Charlie Parr was going to be in town doing a house concert at Nate's. So we headed over there.

Charlie hadn't arrived, so Nate gave Charlie a call. His booking agent had neglected to tell him about the show, so no Charlie.

But, Isaac and Thomas Russell were opening, so they were going to do the show just the two of them. Nate asked us if we wanted to play as well, and we ran home and got instruments, thinking 3 or 4 songs. Nope, half an hour.

Tom did a marvelous set. He has grown so much as a performer and was a delight tonight.

I showed Isaac my laptop snare, and he made me play the entire set with him. As is so often the case, Isaac was amazing.

Lizzie and I played ...
Daughter Of The Red
Rain
Out Of The Light
Follow That Road (Anne Hills)
Widow's Garden (the last two with Isaac's guitar)
Calvin's Girl
Critters

It was a really fun show, there may be recordings soon, we'll see. Now we go collapse.
