Yeah, that was a good idea
Jan. 12th, 2009 09:25 pmI made a serious mistake and I looked out the front door.
I had taken the garbage down to the curb, since tomorrow is garbage day (one hopes).
When they plowed the street, it knocked over my garbage can and the lid is now long gone ... nowhere to be seen as far as I could see (a block in either direction).
I haven't had a next door neighbor in months ... in the almost two years I have lived here, there has been someone else in the other side of the duplex for about 5 months. There is a very nice very large rolling garbage can (with the garbage company's logo on it even) in back of the other side ... well ... there was.
I just went out in the roaring wind and bitter cold and transferred my garbage to the large bin. That wasn't the problem, it was getting the larger bin to my side of the house, through the wind and the blowing snow, and the snow drifts.
I may be able to breathe again shortly. My advice to you ... if something like that happens ... let the garbage blow away.
