I didn't do much last night. I had dinner with a couple of friends I only see at cons, which was lovely. I wandered around a bit then went for a much needed nap. I missed Ookla's Mac vs PC show, but I am told that there will be a recording of it available.
I went to [livejournal.com profile] unclekage's Story Hour. I consider it a victory that he only broke me a half dozen times or so.
I finally wandered into the circle around 11:30 or so. The undisputed highlight of the evening was [livejournal.com profile] mrgoodwraith's filk of Lincoln Park Pirates about [livejournal.com profile] billroper's car troubles from a couple nights ago. I don't think I have ever seen Bill laugh so hard. Sheer brilliance.
I played one song, Dancer with the ever lovely and disgustingly talented [livejournal.com profile] sweetmusic_27. I've wanted to play that piece with her ever since I wrote it. I went around it for a bit, and ended it. She looked at me with a lovely pout and said "you stopped". So we went on with it for awhile more. It was wonderful.

I'm hauling myself out of the room now. Sleep has been gotten, I feel better than I did last night (I was exhausted).

Toyboat tonight ... be afraid
ericcoleman: (Toyboat)
And we worked up a new song. Yeah, at soundcheck. Actually the three of them worked on it today (or was it yesterday) and tonight I added drums. It may be a little rough, but, we wanted to have something for Tom. So tonight you can hear Toyboat do our version of Hellraiser. Don't let that frighten you, you still need to go to tomsmithonline.com and buy stuff.

Tonight though, Toyboat at Duckon, Mainstage, 10 pm or after the art auction, whichever comes last. And there will be special guests, and I mean special. We will unveil the new 4 guitar frontline version of Toyboat.
