I went to the open mike. As expected, school being out and all, there were very few people there. I played a safety set, something I need to stop doing. Mostly I need to get some new songs written.

Standards
Low Self Esteem
Crank Generation
Hey Dad (I've been doing that one a lot lately)
How Can I Miss You?
Ghosts

A couple of the folks in the audience tended to stare at me a little baffled, but that's pretty common. I had a nice time.

Here are the rules.

Answer only one quote.

If you answer more than one I will delete your reply. If there are quotes still not answered the next day I will open it up to any and all guesses.

Most weeks there is a theme. If there is not a theme I will tell you. The theme is open to guess even if you have guessed a quote.

There is a theme this week, and you can blame [livejournal.com profile] fredhuggins for it

You can also blame [livejournal.com profile] exapno for beating you all to it. The theme is Tim Curry movies (and all of the quotes are by his characters as well)

Don't use a search engine (like this can be enforced). If you don't know, you don't know. Maybe next week you will.

You must either be signed into LJ, or say who you are (in case you are a friend of mine who is not on LJ). All anonymous answers will be deleted (hey, I'm obsessive, I want to know who guesses these). Oh, and don't guess as a reply to someone else's guess, on a busy day that makes it hard for me to spot your answer.

03 Oh, you're so naive. Things couldn't be more perfect if I planned them myself. [livejournal.com profile] shsilver says breathlessly "I see you shiver with The Three Musketeers (1993)
04 The dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity. [livejournal.com profile] lickintoadz says breathlessly "I see you shiver with Legend

06 Upstage, lads. This is my only number. [livejournal.com profile] selenesue says breathlessly "I see you shiver with Muppet Treasure Island
07 Suddenly, you get a break! All of the pieces seem to fit into place. [livejournal.com profile] smegabyte says breathlessly "I see you shiver with The Rocky Horror Picture Show
08 Madam, there are hundreds of parasites out there, armed to the teeth. [livejournal.com profile] breakmanz says breathlessly "I see you shiver with Home Alone II: Lost in New York
09 There's a new world order coming. [livejournal.com profile] wyngarde says breathlessly "I see you shiver with The Shadow
10 OK, alright, so I'm not actually your worst nightmare. But I am right up there.. [livejournal.com profile] animator55 says breathlessly "I see you shiver with Loaded Weapon 1
11 You're very good. With your hands. I could use someone like you on my staff. [livejournal.com profile] celtic_catgirl says breathlessly "I see you shiver with Charlie's Angels

RIP Bo Diddley

What is your favorite song with the Bo Diddley beat, or variation thereof?

Mine is probably Moving Away From The Pulsebeat by the Buzzcocks, although I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow is awfully good.

In a tired state, [livejournal.com profile] wildcard9 saw today's movie quiz as being about Tim "Conway" movies.

So ... what if Tim Conway had played Frank N Furter ???

I love trolls, and I have seen a bunch of them lately. This one is exceptional. From comments on You Tube.

Raving Fanboy: Best band to come along for years - decades even!
Troll: Dude there were only only swing bands and jazz bands decades ago!!! Stick with years Great band still!
Me: Rock and roll is over 50 years old
Troll: Well yeah i am considering decades to be slightly more than 5.
Me: Math isn't your strong subject is it? 1 decade, 2 decades
