Double points this week
Aug. 27th, 2007 10:34 amI revised the hint a little, it was unclear ... see the bold below. I would also like to point out that nobody has guessed an example of the theme, so there are still answers available. If you have guessed a movie, you can still guess an example of the theme.
Here are the rules.
Answer only one quote.
If you answer more than one I will delete your reply. If there are quotes still not answered the next day I will open it up to any and all guesses.
Most weeks there is a theme. If there is not a theme I will tell you. The theme is open to guess even if you have guessed a quote.
The theme has been answered by
fredhuggins. The theme this week is movies with Spaceships
There are two answers to most of the questions this week, the movie that the quote is from, and an example of the theme. Each of these movies has an object in common, give me the name of that object. If that makes sense. ONE of these does not have a name that I could find. If you can name that particular one, I will give you a special prize ... really.
Don't use a search engine (like this can be enforced). If you don't know, you don't know. Maybe next week you will.
You must either be signed into LJ, or say who you are (in case you are a friend of mine who is not on LJ). All anonymous answers will be deleted (hey, I'm obsessive, I want to know who guesses these)
01Did you hear something back there that sounds like there's something back there? In outer space no one can hear
pheltzer say this is from Space Truckers. This is The Ship With No Name
02Alert all commands. Calculate every possible destination along their last known trajectory. In outer space no one can hear
bathtubnz say this is from The Empire Strikes Back, the Ship is The Millenium Falcon, guessed by
naomikritzer
03Half of writing history is hiding the truth. In outer space no one can hear
bobolium say this is from Serenity, which is also the name of the Ship
04Bring back life form. Priority One. All other priorities rescinded. In outer space no one can hear
rsmit212 say this is from Alien, the Ship is The Nostromo guessed by
bathtubnz
05A mere speck? Texas a mere speck? In outer space no one can hear
exapno say this is from Rocketship X-M, which is title AND ship (there are two of those this week)
06I bet she gives great helmet. In outer space no one can hear
fredhuggins say this is from Spaceballs, the Ship is The Spaceball One, but I also would have accepted The Eagle 5
07I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do. In outer space no one can hear
controuble say this is from 2001: A Space Odyssey
08You know nothing. Hell is only a word. The reality is much, much worse. In outer space no one can hear
noise626_m say this is from Event Horizon, but
mike46 says that it is the name of the ship as well
09I'm a doctor, not a space explorer. In outer space no one can hear
bammba_m say this is from Lost In Space. The Ship is the Jupiter 2, guessed by
wildcard9
10Rubbish, we don't want to be happy, we want to be famous! In outer space no one can hear
tony_goldmark say this is from The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, and the Ship is The Heart Of Gold
