Be afraid ... Eric is on the move again
Oct. 30th, 2006 04:28 pmI will be at Tillie's Bean this friday November 3rd at 7:30. I even intend to play some music. Two sets worth. Please come out and support my appalling social disorders. Requests and money will be cheerfully taken.
I will be at Windycon the weekend of the 10th. My schedule at the moment is ...
Friday 5:00 Michigan: Golden Age vs. Silver Age vs. Modern Age: A look at the evolution of the comic field and how the characters, stories and art changes over time. E. Coleman, B. Hull, B. Lyn-Waitsman, B. Roper, J. Wilson
Friday 6:00 Michigan: Starting Your Filk Collection: The filkers gather late at night to sing. In the dealers room there are tables covered with their CDs and tapes. Which of those recordings are right for you? Which ones provide the best introduction to filk? This panel tells you how to find that first filk CD to start your collection. E. Coleman, D. Murphy, E. Neely, L. Ski, J. Coulson (way cool, I'm so glad she'll be at the con)
Saturday 2:00 Grand Foyer South: Eric Coleman Concert
Sunday Noon Orly: The Apocalypse Will Be Blogged: Blogging seems to have supplanted fanzines and letter columns because of its immediacy and accessibility. However, do these very features harm the sense of community that science fiction fandom built up over the decades? E. Coleman, C. Gerrib, J. Hines, N. Rest, L. Zeldes
I'm still uncertain what I am doing at the concert, but expect, at the very least, a lot of stuff that I don't normally do including a lot of serious songs. I'm just in that sort of mood.
