Some high (and low) points

High - Opening ceremonies ... so wrong ... so DEEPLY wrong.

High - A very lovely woman just walked past me wearing a "I hated Dubya before it was cool" shirt.

Low - Lyle Lovett muzak here in the lobby ... just too weird.

High - The first panel, music and writing, was great. We stuck right with the topic the entire time ... sure we did. We talked about books, we talked about movies, we talked about soundtracks, good and bad. It was lovely.

Low, but turns to high quickly - My show today is up against a wedding. I am going to stop the show at 5:25 and we're all going to head down to the wedding, since I don't want to miss it either (I'm such an old softie) and the continue the show after.

High - I am also playing in a room party tonight, thanks to the Promotion Queen ... the Ever So Fabulous Star.

It's shaping up to be a good weekend. I'm relaxed for the first time in a couple of weeks. Pooch and I were up till about 2:30 telling each other pet stories.

I needed this.
Oh ... and I can wear Chucks again. My heel has healed from it's problems last year, my ankle is doing fine. I do have insoles ... but I am wearing my cartoon chucks this afternoon. Pink Chucks for the show.

The first set there were 5 people, two of whom sat and scowled at me the entire set. The second set there were two people.

I'm a little down at the moment.
