Boheme was ok last night ... I played pretty well, but I was tired.

I played them all pretty well ... My guitar strap had slipped and I think I kind of liked the level the guitar was at. Tried the new picks and they worked well on some songs but not as well on others. They just don't have the impact. I did switch mid-song on WYSIWYG. Having them on the guitar works well.

Well done, must say. You can't help but admire a man for his guitar technique and a Herculoids icon.

Just over 4 years. Pete (the owner) has a lot to answer for. It is where I have developed all the material that I am doing now.

It's a lovely little place in the middle of Ames. All natural wood and comfortable couchs and booths. A great sound system and nice folks generally.

I was really sitting still on my guitar playing for too long. Plus I was playing too hard and hurting my hand occasionally. So I have been rethinking how I do a lot of things and switching around on picks and such. I normally play with a Dunlop nylon 1.0 and I love the sound I get. It's solid so you get a lot of impact but since it's nylon you still get a bit of mellowness to it. But some of the songs needed a lighter touch so I have been working with a .70 lately as well as a Herco thumb pick.

And the Herculoids ROCK ... I need them on DVD ... I really do ... that and Danger Island.
