Doing ok here, other than having run into a deer on the way home from Marcon. Fortunately, I was only about a mile away from the Midkiffs and managed to limp the van over there. It's now in a body shop in Indy, waiting for some expensive (but covered by insurance) repairs.

Hey, I know that unsolicited advice on the Internet is worth every penny, but have you considered trying to pull together demo versions of the albums that you're looking at doing and getting them up on Bandcamp as a way to develop a bit of motion on the projects and bring in a bit of cash? I know this depends on what equipment you've got available to do this with and how you're willing to set your standards for the project, but the gear that you're using for the podcast might well be good enough for a "demo level" album and it would help whip everything into shape for a larger recording project.

Or you may have already considered all of this and I should smile and nod, but I figured, well...

(And I just did a panel on budget recording at Marcon. :) )
