If it's a joke, it's going awfully far: It's on the California Attorney General's website as an "active initiative".

So someone is taking it seriously enough to submit it to the state for consideration for the ballot.

If you click on the pdf, you'll find that it just means John Marcotte was willing to lay dow $200 to find out how many people would vote for something so stupid.
From his recent article on healthcare
, I'd say he isn't as foaming-at-the-mouth crazy as that website makes him look, joke or no.

I wasn't sure if it was serious or not. But then I remembered that it is California, and we actually did pass Prop 8, so it wouldn't surprise me.
Since when did California become the most religiously restrictive state in the Union?
