I can't bear anything done with hot dogs that isn't a dog on a bun... so my only choice is chunky pizza soup which sounds dreadfully unappetizing to this Monday Morning Post Con migraine sufferer.
Well if I have to choose..... Hot Dog Soup just sort of sounds like their serving hot dogs in the water they boiled them in. Plus having eaten in the Ameritech cafeterias.... anything produced by them is automatically suspect.
My answer in no way reflects any desire I may or may not have to eat either of these, but merely perversity since no one had yet voted for that option.
Cook up a can of Campbell's creamy tomato soup, add some McCormick Italian Spices to taste. When hot, toss in 2 sliced Oscar Mayer hot dogs (cheeses dogs preferred but the regular kind will do) and a cup of frozen corn. When the corn has thawed, Serve into cups or bowls and toss in a handful of cheddar cheese cut into cubes 1/4" or smaller.
It may not be high cuisine, but this is really good on a cold winter day.
When dealing with hospital cafeteria food, I find that the more they try to make it "interesting" the worse it tends to get. The chunky pizza soup sounds like a "too interesting" option.
