I've been limping for awhile now. I went to the doctor for my usual checkup this week. He took a look at it and has referred me to a specialist. Best case scenario I need a cortisone shot. Worst case scenario I have a torn meniscus (I had to look it up too).

It's been a fun few weeks.

My father just had surgery for a torn meniscus. He's less than a week out, and doing much, much better. So, even the worst case is a known and proven fix.

Not much help I know, but I hope it's little cheering.

I have excellent insurance. The advantage to working in a large corporate structure.

I retired from one of those. Once I made the mistake of being admitted to a hospital overnight. I was fine. I discovered admission automatically triggered my short-term disability insurance and they didn't want to let me work until all the paperwork was complete. So instead of working, I had to run errands to get the stuff they needed, which made me feel sick again.

Did that surgery two years ago this month. Hopefully it won't come to surgery! Hoping you heal and are feeling less pain soon!
