Chuck Klosterman Repeats The Beatles

"Like most people, I was initially confused by EMI’s decision to release remastered versions of all 13 albums by the Liverpool pop group Beatles, a 1960s band so obscure that their music is not even available on iTunes."

Read the rest of the best review of the Beatles box set. This guy nails it.

Why haven't I ever heard of these guys before?!?!? Thanks for clue-ing me in. If they are half as good as the review makes them sound, they'll wind up a major musicla influence yet.

That's great.

I'm wondering if you're familiar with the Alan W. Pollack notes on all Beatles songs.

Quotes from Across The Universe:
- Meter: 4/4 (with scattered disruptions)
- I'm sorry to acknowledge how the latter [the Spector version] retains the stamp of some officialness no matter how much anyone of us gripes about it. Perhaps the best way to look at it is to observe how much of the song's wonder does still shine through the overproduction.

Maybe the surviving Beatles and the Surviving Pythons can get together and do something. At last.

George Harrison was heavily involved with Life of Brian, Privates on Parade, and The Rutles.

True, but that was a while ago, when all the Pythons were around. Sadly, Harrison is not one of the surviving Beatles.
