The Most Important Question Of The Day

[Poll #1367598]

Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] guppiecat posted about a new invention and for some reason he thought that it would make a good MIQOTD. For some reason I agree. So, go read the article to see what this is about and then read [livejournal.com profile] guppiecat's original post ... yeah, for once I am actually giving you context. Be afraid

Context? I... I... don't know what to do with context. I'm so used to being in the dark about everything. I'm afraid!

dragonflies with laser beams! not quite the same punch as sharks with lasers, but still quite intimidating, i'm sure.

I know one of the guys developing that system: it's so nice being a step or three removed from actual smart people that can do stuff like that.

Me, I'll just buy it from Wal-Mart (in about a year or ten) and center the thing on an already existing bug zapper.

Redneck fun, y'all.

The lasers are very accurate and targeted only on the mosquitoes. No reason in the world not to also have dragonflies. The dragonflies are a proven technology. You could implement them right now, today. When the LAZzzzzER is up and running, the dragonflies will naturally reduce in numbers either through death or outmigration beyond the range of the zapper. No problem.

Given the choice, I would have voted for bats.
