The inept cold call of the week

A guy just called saying that he was from the company that handled all of our advertising, and had been doing so for the last 2 years.

We're an in house shop, we don't do outside sales, therefore no advertising.

Yeah, we keep getting a phone call from Florida with an "important message regarding your credit card account!"

Erm, we don't HAVE any credit cards.

That'd be great! And I hope you can make it down for ConEstsoga!

Depending on how annoyed I am, I generally demand where they got the information. "I've had my identity stolen, and the FBI is on the job. Who are you and where are you located?"

I don't mind legit sales calls. No robo calls are legit, and I can play with their head.

This is a robo call. I just hang up on it.

You should have demanded your money back. "You did a terrible job! Send us our $5000 or I'll complain to the Better Business Bureau!"
