It is a puzzlement
Throughout my life, if someone was going to get my name wrong, they called me Chris. This has happened repeatedly since I was a kid.
It hadn't happened for a few years. A couple weeks ago I was getting a breakfast sandwich from Panera's, and they guy tried to remember my name and called me Chris.
I bust out laughing, he looked confused so I explained. The story has been repeated to several people there and now at that store I am "NotChris" when they call my name when my food is done.

no subject
I sorta understand it when it's in person and they don't listen to my name when I introduce myself.
I don't understand why it happens in email.
