The jig is up...
...and gone.

Still plenty of reels of tape around here. No jigs for cutting the same pattern.

Will that be the name of your next album?

I love a good reel. I even love a crummy reel. I love feeling my fingers blaze across the strings, and to watch the dancers loop in their figure-eights.

But I think the jig idiom is integral to the Irish tradition, and permeates it. I think the lilt, the bum-pah-dum, bum-pah-dum, bum-pah-dum, is the most important part. So I voted jig. XD

4/4 time is more fun to play bodhran to.

And when you go from one to the other, you've got a reel to reel.

Just keepin' it reel, man.
