Ya know

Open D tuning is fun ... DADF#AD ... and Richie Havens shows you why

"The Fire at the Old Diploma Mill" is the VERY first time I've used an alternate tuning in my life!, open D minor - everything you put except F natural instead of F#. The song just needed it. Wonder what tuning Barry Gibb used!!!!!

I always read that as "Dad fuckin' Ad" :) Which still proves how fun it is.

I really need to play around with alternate tunings more. I've tried out open E for slide a little bit and DADGAD - which is fun. Now I just need to get a chart for where the chords are in the various tunings. I can only find so many just fiddling around on the neck, and I have no idea what they are. Of course I have no idea what most of the chords I use in standard tuning are either.
