So I'm worried about Marscon

About Luke and Steph ... driving right now

Shoebox and Kim and anyone else flying into Minneapolis tomorrow ... how is the weather up there ???

Devo ... he driving or flying ??? Anyone know ???

How are the Gothsicles getting there ??? Rob ??? Power Salad ???

And me ... getting there are all. The worst of the storm seems to be between me and MN ... The freeway up there is closed now, we'll see if it opens tomorrow.

I hope we all make it ... If need be I will wait and drive up Saturday morning ... but I really want to see the music tomorrow night.

Oh ... Shoebox and I have an evil plan ... be afraid ...

Whatever you do be careful, and touch base so I know you're okay. *hugs*

Yeah, fer serious. The weather suuuucks.

Hopefully, though, by tomorrow it'll be better. That's what the weather-people keep saying. We're driving in an almost brand-new Element, so we should have little in the way of problems. I hope.

You're fucked.

Its a frozen snowy freaking wasteland out there right now.

I havent turned on the news or anything but I did drive home a while ago and the roads are a mess. They seem to have pulled all the troopers in from off duty so they are out in force (a good thing). The Plows have already done a pass on the side streets (unusual) so they are expecting better than average amounts of snow to fall at this point.

I spent the morning looking up prices for flights to vegas. I couldnt convince my office mates to run off with me.

1 inch per hour for the remainder of the storm is what they are predicting.

This got down graded to 1/2 an inch and hour but in reality it was 1/4 inch an hour.

I havent been outside yet, nor have I turned on the news (I hate news) so I dont have anything better to report other than they made the decision last night to close just about everything up this way.

We're at the hotel and safe. It took a long time. Luke drove really slow.

Didn't notice much of a problem with the wind. And I think things are supposed to be better tomorrow.

I'm thinking saturday morning might be a better plan... or maybe friday night if the highways are open. The hotel is right off of major highways, so if 35 is okay, you can make it. Getting around town may be harder, tho... you'll need to be aware of Minneapolis snow parking rules if you're not staying at the hotel, lest you get towed.

FYI, Carla Ulbrich is in Mason City, IA, in the same predicament you are.
