The triumphant return of the Foreman Awards For Excellence in Humanity
I have not done a Foreman Award poll in ages, but this week I felt the need.
Our first contestant is Bob Kearns, president of the Loma Linda Homeowners Association in Pagosa Springs Colorado. He is threatening to fine a local resident $25 dollars a day because she has a peace sign wreath on her house. His reasoning ... "some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan.
And from last week, comedian Michael Richards, who some of you may remember from the TV show Fridays (and from some other sitcom too, can't think of the name of it at the moment). Some people came in late, were ordering drinks and he ... well ... you all know what he did by now.
So ... who is more deserving of the award ???
[Poll #876414]
And a special thanks to
pheltzer for pointing this one out ... show up at my house by midnight tonight for your No-Prize

"The symbol itself is a combination of the semaphoric signals for the letters "N" and "D," standing for Nuclear Disarmament. In semaphore the letter "N" is formed by a person holding two flags in an upside-down "V," and the letter "D" is formed by holding one flag pointed straight up and the other pointed straight down. These two signals imposed over each other form the shape of the peace symbol. In the original design the lines widened at the edge of the circle."
