In which I ramble a bit

We're already starting to think about where we are going next year. With our finances the way they are we need to plan well ahead. It also means less conventions. Right now it looks like the conventions are Capricon, Demicon, Balticon (the big trip for the year) and Musecon. We talked a bit about Balticon with Gorgeous Gary at FKO. We have a lot of friends out there who we haven't seen in awhile, including one of my best friends from college, so I think we are working that one out.

I'm probably going in for another hand surgery, hopefully not until November or so. I hope it can wait till then, but my right thumb is angry at me. So we will be taking some time off for that, whenever it is. I will have to rethink how I play a few things, but it shouldn't change my playing too much. I'm hoping that shows will not have to be canceled.

Anyway, we are still recovering from the weekend. I need to write a bit more about that and I have some other things to ramble about on my page. Demicon is tomorrow. We're trying some new angles on our set list this weekend. No new songs, just different approaches to pacing and mood. Should be fun!

If you're pushing the hand surgery to November, would it make sense to push it to January so you can take advantage of a Section 125 program and pay for it with pre-tax dollars?

You know, while you're talking about money and all.

I take it this means Arisia is not likely to happen this year?
