So, went to see this yesterday.

I thought it was brilliant. Very wonderfully odd.

I'm listening to the music at the moment. The songs that Elfman wrote (to Dahl's lyrics) are great. Sort of Oingo Boingo-ish but not. The Veruca Salt song in particular makes me giggle. A great 60s Beatle-esque but of silliness. This is definitely going on Bull Goose Looney at Cap next year.

It would have been amusing if they had gotten the band Veruca Salt to write/play a song for Veruca in the movie. Kind of a full circle thing since they named the band after the character and all.
