Travels And Transitions EP

I figger that today, being April 1st, is the best day possible to announce a new CD.

Isaac and I have been working on this, kinda on the quiet, on and off for the last month and a half. It includes all three Mahtowa songs, Ghosts, Women Like You, Dancer and a song that no one has heard, The Story Till Now that I will premiere live this weekend at Kittencon. Yeah, it's only 7 songs (although Story Till Now is quite long) but I wanted to get these songs out so I can concentrate on the new material I am working on.

I will have the page about it up on the website tonight. Ordering info should be up soon (I have to get the discs first, I hope to have them done by this weekend).

Wow

I went to see my friend Isaac play tonight. He's recording a live record. His set was marvelous. I have never seen him connect with an audience so well. I can't wait for his record

Playing with him was Midwest Dilemma from Omaha. Go listen to this song, really (it's on Myspace, sorry). This guy is one of the best songwriters I have heard in years and the band is astounding. Tonight it was Jason on guitar, Liz on clarinet and Jackie on flute (they play with as many as 20+ people live at home). Call it chamber folk, call it anything, but it is amazing. I can't wait for their record to come out.
