Grumble

The Embarrassment, one of the great indy bands of the late 70s, early 80s, is reforming for a couple shows in August.

I see no way I can make it ... grumble ...

The new songs

The two songs I am doing in the Highway 61 Folks Festival songwriting contest are coming along nicely. I hope to get down here this weekend or next to do demos of them so I can upload them to my MySpace.com page so everyone can enjoy hear them. Seeing as how one of them will probably be done nowhere else ... this is a good or bad thing depending on your point of view.

A show in Minneapolis

I am playing Saturday September 2nd at Tillie's Bean in Minneapolis. Two sets. I guess this means I have to practice, especially some songs I don't do very often.

So please, all you folks in the Twin Cities, come out and support my appalling behaviour.

This is what happens ...

... when everyone but me leaves work early, and the phones don't ring

If a band that does very complicated music, with lots of different time signatures, mood changes and long long songs, did a CD that consisted of such songs, but that all lyrically were for the sole purpose of wooing the object of their desire ... should the resulting CD be called

Prog-y Went A Courtin ???

This is why I should not be left alone for long periods ...
