The year so far
It's been year. There has been a lot of things that have gone wrong. Financially it's been pretty much a disaster for us.
But the good outweighs the bad by a large margin.
We have written 46 songs this year. That's kinda extreme. There are a handful that we would be fine with never hearing again. There are now 11 Callenwood songs. And we have added those and another 15 or so into our regular book.
The shows this year have been amazing. A lot of new people have come to see us. And they got us. They got that a Cheshire Moon show is not a presentation, it's a conversation. As Marie (Slim) Browning once said, "It's better when you help".
There is a lot of live video that shows that in action on our You Tube page.
We have three more little things to do this year. A sales day at a local club, where we will have our CDs and a bunch of Lizzie's knitted stuff. We'll have a couple instruments with us in case music breaks out. We're going to a party, where music may break out. And we have our Concert Window show for my birthday.
The most amazing thing at the moment though, our living room has no instruments, no PA, no gear at all (except for one guitar stand, which lives down here).
The rehearsal room is set up again. All the cases put away in the closet. The PA is there as well. Hand drums are on their stands. Guitars etc are all on their racks, ready to play. The pedal boards are plugged into the small system, ready to make silly sounds for us.
We're off for awhile. No shows planned at the moment, but I'll start that soon. But yeah, probably off Dec, Jan & Feb. Not to say that if someone leapt out at us and said "come play" we wouldn't leap too.
In the meantime, there are CDs for sale on our website, they would make great Xmas presents!
Now I am going back to snuggling a kitty, and watching TV. Lizzie is working a short day, so she'll be home soonish.
