IYNSHO, what is your favorite album. The first thing you think of, and only one per customer. Duplicate orders will be mocked mercilessly.

Mine, it's easy. Quadrophenia. Townsend is one of the greatest songwriters of the rock era, and this is his masterpiece. The Who at their best outstrip pretty much everyone. It's powerful, brutal, touching, lovely. I think I'll listen to it right now.

I have a lot of trouble picking favorites of anything, but I almost jumped in here with Abbey Road as well. It was the first answer that came to mind. It is because of the continuity of it (at least one side). When I here those songs come up on shuffle without them leading into the next one, it just seems wrong.

There are certain songs that, when I put them on my IPod I put them together with other songs. Side two of Modern Music by Be Bop Deluxe, the first two songs on Hawkwind's Warrior At The Edge Of Time. I would do that with most of side two of Abbey Road as well
