I thought I'd ask ... since I'm thinking about it ...

A cat has moved into the ex's house ... it's a sweet little beast, and I now realize how much I miss having a cat ... so ... what do you think?

a cat would make your place bamm-prohibitive.

just sayin.

Wait for one to come to you. You know that happens.

If you get two, they can keep each other company when you go on road trips. Less likely to end up with neurotic cats then. But do get two that like each other!

I didn't think about that. Can I change my vote from "get one" to "get two" please.

I actually voted for the get one but intended to click the they are evil get two for this reason. If you travel a lot, it is nice for them to have a fellow to have for company and a fish is only a temptation. :-)

I am generally very pro-cat - but I would ask how well it would work considering how much time you spend on the road?

It took me this long to squeeze my brain hard enough to get the answer out.

Timbuk3.

Damn you. Now I have to find a copy to listen to that song.

Speaking as someone who has 4 cats and is out of the house a lot, cats are pretty self-sufficient. Cats are one of the few pets that you can leave for the weekend with a big dish of food and lots of water and know that they'll be fine. They also just are awesome and provide much amusement. I would definitely go for getting 2 over 1, because most cats enjoy the company of another cat.

Good luck! *hugs*

I'll second this comment (other than we currently have 5 cats in the house :-))

You should have had an option for "Tell [livejournal.com profile] born_to_me to give me four."

edit: I should have voted "cats are evil, get two". Oh, and I should have used a different pic...

The last time I was at the Human Society, there were a few cats that were offered at a reduced price (I think it was eighty five bucks each or one hundred and thirty for the pair, but don't quote me on that) if they went together as a pair because they were already pals.

[identity profile] bobolium.livejournal.com 2008-03-10 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Go get two. Make sure that they hate each other (like mine do), and when they fight at 3 am and you throw all the pillows on the bed at them and they STILL won't quit hissing/spitting/screaming bloody murder/running around so loud like they are frickin' elephants you can name them "The C&$tbag express" and then everyone laughs for some reason. Damn fuzzy butted simpletons.

They are really nice to come home to and when they aren't sleeping ON MY FACE they can be good for sleeping, like warm little furry hot water bottles. And they are funny as hell.

Also, you can blame messes and farts on them.

I voted for multiple cats.

When you're home, they'll keep you company.

When you're not home, they'll keep each other company.

(And no, the cat draped over my wrist as I'm typing this has absolutely nothing to do with this answer... really...aadfsdpgfdspisfdsaufj;)
