So, I have an offer for a place to put the funny stuff, but that is just a part of what I do. Roper mentioned CD Baby, which I will look into tonight (or this weekend, if time goes the way I think it is going to go the next couple of days)

Any other ideas of places to sell MP3s. I looked at the service on Myspace, but they bite into the sales a LOT ...

Do you have any idea how many unique visitors hit your site each week?

If that's high enough, you could sell direct. If not, CD Baby is likely the best way to go.

You might talk with marcgunn. He does tons of stuff through CD Baby and may have some insight for you.

The most important thing is to opt in to digital distribution. (You'll have to spend an extra $20 to get a UPC.) Then CD Baby will set you up on two dozen or so download sites, including iTunes. No further charge, no work, you get a decent percentage of the sales, and it gets automatically deposited every month. And, they have an active list of what sites they set you up on, so you can go after other sites.

if it hasn't been mentioned, you can opt to do digital sales through cdbaby, and they will put it *everywhere* (itunes, etc.) if you're going through cdbaby, you may as well use this service. it doesn't cost any extra to set up the digital. they're very reliable, very helpful, and pay every week.
i know a lot of indie artists who use cdbaby and they all rave about it.

i personally hate the myspace "service" for selling mp3s, if you're talking about snocap. they have zero customer support. i'm going to delete my store from my myspace page.

i also post (especially the funny songs) to madmusicarchive.com. that is easy because you can e mail him mp3s, and don't even need to have an existing cd of any given song. which, with cdbaby, you do have to have a cd with a UPC and sign it up fully before it can get to itunes, etc. so i find madmusicarchive fills a nice hole in that i can send in stuff that hasn't been released on cd.

it seems to me these days if you're sending 10 or more cds, you may as well use priority mail (and get the free box). just an FYI for the cdbaby thing.
