Record: I'd like to say that it was something cool like Rubber Soul by the Beatles, or something like that, but no, the first record that I think I actually bought with my own money was a Ray Stevens record, Gitarzan ... I'm not proud of it.
The first concert I saw was an outdoor show headlined by Elton John. I think I was 14. The only other band that I definitely remember was Sutherladn Brothers And Quiver, but there were 4 or 5 total. That may have been the show where I saw Steely Dan as well, on tour for their first record.
