The Foreman Awards For Excellence In Humanity - The "Hey, don't dis my mom" edition
It's been awhile since I have been moved to post a Foreman Award but the last week had too many possibilities. In this case the nomination goes to the same person for two different quotes. There was a time some years ago when I actually had some respect for Barbara Bush. Then she stood up in front of the Republican National Convention and blatantly lied, saying she was anti-choice, when she had been pro-choice for her entire life. This week she went even further and showed that the lack of awareness that her son shows is definitely inherited. So it is up to you to determine which quote indeed wins the very coveted Foreman Award For Excellence In Humanity.
I'll Fly Away
"People came up to me all day long and said 'God bless your son,' people of different races and it was very, very moving and touching, and they felt like when he flew over that it made all the difference in their lives" Former First Lady Barbara Bush
Are The Concession Stands Open?
"What I'm hearing which is sort of scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them." Former First Lady Barbara Bush
