Toys !!!

The new mikes got here.

I would have liked to go up a price point or so but I got what I could afford.

ain't they purty?

I also got a pop screen and a couple of decent cords.

So ... gonna work with them some this weekend and see if I can get some scratch tracks done.

FUNFUNFUN

I also got a little Behringer mixer for home stuff. I am slowly converting a lot of tapes and LPs to CD and this means that I can leave the main board down here and not worry about it.

So ... how is your day ???

Don't forget the handcuffs so you can cuff that case to your wrist a-la Elwood Blues... ;-)

Yeah!

I was experimenting last night, recording myself with a single condenser a few feet away, hoping for a natural guitar/voice sound that's also very easy to set up. It worked pretty well for as far as i got with it, but i was dealing with other technical issues too. :(

If i had a lick of sense, i'd just get one of those cheap little Zoom or Korg flash-card recorders for this sort of thing.

I love getting new mics. The only problem is that the little brats start to complain about not having any friends to play with, and before you know it, there are mics everywhere.
