ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
We have been listening to the final master of the acoustic version of The Midnight Contingent.

It's done.

Now on to the next part, the full band album. We still have a lot to do before FKO!
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
Listening to the final mix of the demos. A few of the songs are going to change between now and the full band album, but I really like this batch of songs. They sound good too! Donna has done some amazing stuff.
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
The tracks for the acoustic version of the album are done. Donna is working on an initial mix, which we should have on Saturday. Step one is about finished. We're looking toward step two now, the full on electric band album.

Further and further.

The songs are ...

The Midnight Contingent
Circus Of Dreams
Call Me Home
Beast Within
Don’t Look Now
Morrigan
Boneman’s Daughter
Persephone
Alice In Zombieland
Loki Loves You
Navigator
Ghost Train
Banshee
Nighty Nights
Horizon

Boneman’s Daughter
Alice In Zombieland

Don’t Look Now

Thank you for coming out and playing with us! And making my birthday so much fun!

The recording should be done next week or so, folks who have gotten the DL will be contacted in the next week or two with a DL link.

Then we start getting the full band album started!
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
Another recording session tonight. Got a lot of stuff done on the demos. Nine songs are done, they just need mixing.

Alice In Zombieland
Banshee
Boneman's Daughter
Call Me Home
Circus Of Dreams
Don't Look Now
Horizon
Loki Loves You
Persephone

Wednesday Lizzie goes in to work on Morrigan. It will be layers of vocals. And to record the title song.

We have 4 songs to either finish writing, or rehearse into some sort of coherency ...

Beast Within
Clotho's Harp
Ghost Train
Nighty Knights (blame Adam Whitlach for this)

Then these go off to the folks playing on the band version of the CD. And off to folks who got them as a bonus at a Concert Window show. They will also get released when the CD comes out, for those folks who like the acoustic side of Cheshire Moon.

Closer and closer to getting this part of the project done!
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)

Cheshire Moon is looking toward the new year, and looking for places to play. We have our con schedule pretty well worked out, and are now looking for those other shows.

We're looking for house concerts, coffee houses, pagan gatherings, folk festivals. Any place where our particular sort of whimsy may be enjoyed.

We prefer to stay in the Midwest, 6 hours or so from Iowa. Time off from work is a consideration. We can be persuaded to go further in the right circumstances and with enough notice.

If you have any ideas, send them our way. If you want to host a house concert, definitely get in contact with us.

We're looking to do one or two shows a month next year. Please help us find those shows!
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
That was fun!

It's always a little odd, playing to an audience who you can't talk to directly. Still, our friends always have something to say, even if it's typing. Thank you everyone for being in our world for a little while. We're off for almost a month, so songwriting will happen. We hope to get all of the songs for The Midnight Contingent done in the next week or so, and to start rehearsing for the recording. It's only a year later than we had originally planned, but life happens.

What we played tonight!

Persephone
Single White Monster
Loki Loves You
Witch In Your Story
Denali
The National Anthem For Her Majesty
Wanderer
Masters of Library Science
Calvin's Girl
Widows Garden
Alice In Zombieland

Concert Window lets you post your show on You Tube! So we did!

For those of you who missed it, here it is again!

ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
It was a fun start to what will hopefully be a series of shows on Concert Window this year. It's odd playing to people you can't see, but we had a few friends over and that made it a little easier.

What we played today

Persephone
Circus of Dreams
Wanderers
Hot McGonagall
Loki Loves You (first time)
Witch in your Story
Call Me Home
Child of the Library
Catnyp
Stream of Consciousness
Calvin's Girl
She Moved Through the Faire
Alice in Zombieland

Concert Window says that we can use the video for any non commercial use, so it is likely that some, if not all, of it will end up on You Tube. We will probably do this again end of summer.

Thank you everyone who came and listened!
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
We are doing a show May 21 on Concert Window!

We're taking requests on the Facebook Event.

If there is anyone you think might want to know, please tell them!

Ten Ways

I saw a meme on FB about supporting authors, thought that we needed our own version

Ten Ways To Support Your Favorite Band

Buy Their Music
Write Reviews
Give Their CDs As Gifts
Tell Ten People
Play Their Music For Friends
Post Links To Their Music
Recommend On Your Blog
Take A Friend To Their Concert
Tell Them What You Think
Add Your Own Idea To This List (ok, I ran out of ideas)

Additions
Host a house concert (or any sort of show)

Artists of all sorts are fragile creatures. I know I am. We need to hear your voice in what we do. We need your help getting heard. We need the support. All of the bands you like do.

One more day and we are on the train heading to Consonance.

I would like to announce that I will be even more unreasonable these next two days than I normally am. I know, that is slightly terrifying. I would like to say that it is very possible that Lizzie will be even worse.

We packed up instruments and stage gear last night. The suitcase with the pedalboards is a teensy bit heavy (in an "it has it's own gravity well" sort of heavy).

Tonight is the rest of the clothes and stuff.

The cats are confused, very confused. We packed a suitcase, and then left it in the living room. We put instruments into their cases, and left them in the rehearsal room. This does not scan in Helvetica and Calibri world.

I upgraded the room fairly cheaply today, so we have more room to stretch out. We have a shower and a toilet of our own. Admittedly a terrible shower and toilet, but it's in our room, rather than having to go downstairs for the terrible shower and toilet.

We will spend the days looking out the window as the mountains go by. We will spend the evenings watching movies and playing games. Lizzie will knit ... a lot ...

We come back to a show, Lizzie's birthday, and the 5th anniversary of her moving to Iowa.

Lizzie's Mom will be in town that weekend to pick up Reilly, who will spend a week in Indianapolis.

The following weekend we will drive to Indianapolis to bring her back.

We're a little busy the next few weeks.

Come see us at Consonance, come see us at Streetcar 209 on the 12th ... or just say hi here.

One more day!
